I have nurtured a love for exquisite paper and for binding books by hand, always challenging myself to try new styles and techniques. In 2010 I had the unique opportunity to lead a workshop in Nepal, where I had been volunteering in a remote village. I was asked by a women's cooperative in Kathmandu, Creative Women's Creation, to teach them new bookbinding methods. It was among the most meaningful experiences in my time volunteering; to create books from their beautiful handmade papers, and to exchange with them our different approaches to the art of the book.
